Rape Crisis Hotlines

Do you need help now? In the USA you can call the National Sexual Assault Hotline, operated by RAINN, 24 hours a day at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673). You may also use the RAINN rape crisis centers directory or the hotlines page. To call a hotline in the UK or internationally just look up the local rape crisis center on the international page and dial the hotline direct. Feel free to request to speak to a person of your gender. RAINN also hosts an online crisis counseling service. If you are reporting an assault to the police please call a crisis center and ask for a referral to a victim's advocate first. Message boards are recommended as a good first step if you are not ready to talk.
